Uneven surface and old repairs failing

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 19:06, Friday 10 January 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6963640.

The roundabout which leads from Ripley to the A3, round to Wisley, Ockham or back to Ripley is uneven and ultimately needs resurfacing. Not sure if this is scheduled already following the M25/Wisley works that are going on to but wanted to report in case it's not. It can be worse to drive on because you are turning the vehicle so catches uneven surface at an angle which is dangerous. Not possible to take pictures as nowhere to stop.

Updates

  • The massive vehicles are passing my house at all hours of the day. I get woken from 2am onwards by vehicles of huge tonnage speeding through the high street. I am constantly repositioning pictures and china the strong vibrations shake and move everyday. The surface of our High Street is being destroyed to the extent I fear it may collapse altogether. WHY is our village being used in this way. It is in the 3rd year now and it has now become intolable. As a resident in my birth village it seems the whole controlling of speed and prevention to protect is lawless. Its albout convenience with total lack of respect for the people of Ripley I now learn that the whole project finish date has been extended. Please read this complaint and think.
