Unsafe pedestrian crossing

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 21:26, Thursday 9 January 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6959095.

When crossing by traffic light numbered 4. The pedestrian crossing is partly hidden from view. The ‘Green Man’ comes on as the traffic from Mains Lane starts to cross east to west . The vehicles DO NOT SEE THE CROSSING IS ON RED! They have just been given a green light . I cross here everyday with my guide dog. It happens 8/10 where someone just goes though on red . I know to be extra careful but this is really dangerous people just don’t see it partly due the angle in the bend and partly due to speed . I have reported this before with no reply .
