Uneven wheel tracking

Heavily excessive wheel track rutting from HGVs in lane 1 and lane 2 on both east and west bound carriageways for at least 6 months, causing vehicles to get thrown around when trying to stay in lane and when moving in and out of lane

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the road surface condition on the A14 Newmarket bypass. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
