Road markings difficult to interpret in low sun light

Reported via desktop in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category anonymously at 20:23, Wed 1 January 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6919135.

When driving from the M6 Toll and south through the HS2 workings on the M42 around midday day on 30-12-2024 it was very difficult to interpret the road markings. The sky was clear and the sun very low resulting in the light reflecting off all the old markings and new ones equally. Vehicles were driving in all directions as they were following different lines and the likelihood of a collision was very high.
