Lamp post hit again

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6901318.

Lamp post on the slip has been hit by a vehicle for a second time, previously damaged by another vehicle. Safety on the footpath needs to be looked at as this lamp post has been hit twice in a month and the vehicles are crossing the footpath

  • Thank you for contacting us via FixMyStreet on 27 December 2025 regarding the lamp post being struck near the A19 Holystone Roundabout. We appreciate the time you’ve taken to contact us.

    This section of carriageway was resurfaced in 2020, therefore we currently have no plans to recondition this section of network. However, we will arrange for our engineers to review the skid resistance at this location and intervene if necessary.
