Failed service valve repairs - Eastbound opposite Charmandean Lane

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 18:04, Tue 17 December 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6874027.

These were 'repaired' in November but the repair failed inside 1 week. Lound constant knocking/banging as traffic passes over it. Repair was ineffective and needs addressing agaain - residents waited months for this and it lasted just days. Please liaise with the firm completing repairs for a more effective solution.

Our team visited this location and the eastern of the two valve covers in the nearside wheel track is showing signs of movement and currently is rattling slightly depending on traffic.

We've raised this with Southern Water as a previously failed repair and requested they return to this location to rectify this fault as soon as it's possible.

Should you have any further queries regarding this matter, please contact Southern Water on 0330 303 0368.

    Kind Regards
