Banner on railings at pelican crossing adjacent to County Road/Quebec St traffic lights.

Reported via desktop in the Flyposting (NH) category by David Bateson at 10:37, Thu 12 December 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6853106.

On the A590 in Ulverston, an unauthorised banner which has been attached to pedestrian barriers restricts the line of sight for vehicles turning at a junction. The location is the pelican crossing on Quay St adjacent to the County Road/Quebec St/Quay St junction. The banner has been attached to pedestrian barriers on the island in the middle of the A590. It restricts the line of sight through the junction for vehicles which are travelling west on the A590 and are positioned in the right hand lane in order to turn right into Swan St.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about flyposting.

We have passed this to one of our local inspectors to confirm that this is on our property. If it is, we will then either contact the company concerned and ask them to remove their material from our property or remove this ourselves.

    Kind regards
