Pothole partially under bridge on M60 between portwood roundabout and the pyramid roundabout

Reported via mobile in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 11:46, Wed 11 December 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6848729.

On Monday afternoon 9/12/2024 at around 3:10pm I was driving on the motorway on the outside lane where I hit a very large pothole. It was partially under a bridge so was not easily visible. Potholes are an issue in this area, however I have not encountered one of this size before now.

I feel this can be incredibly dangerous for Road users.

It has cause significant damage to my car. It has snapped the front skirt causing the plastic to bend, it has damaged my wheel arch and split the actual bumper. At first glance I thought I was just going to have to replace the skirt, however on further inspection I will not have to replace the full bumper. This is obviously an expense I did not need just before Christmas.

I would appreciate if someone could contact me as I feel I should be reimbursed for any expenses I have to pay for fixing my vehicle.
