Missing Green Cat Eyes to mark the exit to the Black Robin Lane from the A2

Reported via desktop in the Cat Eyes/ Reflectors (NH) category anonymously at 09:23, Wed 11 December 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6847631.

There are no cats eyes marking and entrance/exit point off the A2 up/down Black Robin Lane. The A2 is a 70mph fast road and you are able to exit and join the A2 from the top of the Black Robin Lane. This makes the junction turning very difficult to see in the dark and dangerous. I have seen the aftermath of 2 crashed there in recent months. So as to avoid further incidents, I consider that cats eyes should be added ad this junction.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report.

We have shared your concerns and suggestions with our team for future consideration, and we appreciate you bringing them to our attention.

Please be aware that any information or recommendations provided by emergency services following a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) are communicated to us by the police. While the causes of RTCs can vary, should any changes be necessary to a section of our network, then we'll look to incorporate this into the development of any future schemes.

However, we can confirm road studs on the stop line on junctions like this aren't permitted under Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSR&GD).

    Kind Regards
