  • Road now crumbling away even before Storm Darragh. This needs urgent attention.

  • Spoke to NH contact line - chap hadn't heard of fixmystreet (he will find out) but says they have 10 working days to respond. Unclear why this was closed without action in early November.

Will keep chasing - meantime let's hope no-one has a crash on this.

  • No action and road subsiding further. Emailed nh some time ago, will chase after new year. Hopefully no one will crash as a result of this,

  • 7 Jan call from National Highways. This has not been deemed safety critical. They have been asked to go and have another look, as there is an unattractive choice between hitting the hole or crossing a double white line.

  • Finally fixed, months after first report. Rubble left around it so not sure how long it will hold.

  • Temporary splodge of tarmac done 31 Jan 2025. National highways are aware, chasing their contractor to fix all these properly under warranty as many other gullies have failed repeatedly.

  • 4 months on, no proper fix and collapsing again.

  • Occasional bodges but no proper fix, coming up to 5 months. Nh say they have lots of these to fix under warranty, they were already replacements from when the road was resurfaced. Dodgy contractors?
