Faulty control of traffic lights

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 15:14, Sat 30 November 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6803879.

The lights controlling the pedestrian crossing just north of the A46/The Link/Vale Park, Evesham are going red to traffic approxiumately every 30 seconds without anyone being there to press the button. It seems as if the button is stuck, and therefore triggering a light change at the shortest possible interval, over and over again. As a result there are already lengthy tailbacks, and this is likely to get worse by rush hour if not fixed rapidly!

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways.

The information you provided around the operation of the traffic lights has been passed to our technical team to review our data.

We aim to keep the traffic flowing as smoothly as possible for all directions and recognise that on occasions we might need to make changes.

If we find that any changes are due here, we will undertake those once we have established a suitable solution.

    Kind regards
