Flooding to the end of the slip road

Reported via mobile in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 22:08, Friday 29 November 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6802170.

As soon as you reach the end of the slip road and you are about to enter the main carriageway of the A1 after rainfall this area is always flooded I presume because of a drainage problem but also could be a carriageway problem. This is extremely dangerous as you are trying to get up to speed to join the main carriageway and then you have to slow down because you see the slip road flooded, at the same time as trying to use your mirrors and checking your blind spot to join safely.
