Light not functioning properly

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 09:17, Thu 28 November 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6794896.

The light are constantly cycling from red to green every 4 seconds for the pedestrian crossing. It's causing large tailbacks and is also unsafe for people to cross the road.

Updates

  • Lights are still malfunctioning, very large tailbacks causing the roundabout further south to gridlock. This happens every year, this equipment is clearly defective. I've been out of the car this morning and tested all of the pedestrian push buttons, none are stuck and all move freely.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
