Traffic lights sequence is too quick s . Only letting 3 cars from Liverpool bound through at a time. Apparently it changes from 11 second to 30 seconds at 4pm

East Lancs Rd . It's busy all day not just at peak hours. The traffic lights sequencing coming from MCR to Liverpool at Haydock Island let's 2 to 3 cars through at a time causing unnecessary backing up and frustrated drivers "chancing it" . At 4pm the sequencing seems to change back to a longer period of time maybe 7 to 10 cars getting through . Xmas traffic going to either Manchester or Liverpool will be backing up more each day and traffic will try to find alternative routes home meaning Newton le Willows , Ashton in Makerfield and other surrounding small villages getting busier and the resulting carnage. Added to which, in the general vicinity of the island there are cones and a traffic light on the ground ( Ashton exit).and the ongoing Slip Rd work (going on the M6 both directions ) seems to be never ending. Once you get through the island it's clear 🤔 busy but clear. Please help as it's been a few weeks on the sequencing and folk getting peeved. Accidents soon I think
