Flooding from bridge toward Norwich drains blocked with leaves on most of a47 carriageway

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the obstructed drains on the A47 Norwich Southern bypass. Our sweeping contractors commenced work on the 27 Nov to sweep the V channel, both sides along this entire section starting from the Thickthorn interchange. Weather permitting it is envisaged that this work will be completed by Friday 29 Nov 2024.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
