Blocked drainage gulleys

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 06:56, Wed 27 November 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6789287.

The drains (and drainage gullys) on both the northbound and southbound carriageways between Junc 11 and where the A23 passes under the B2110 in Handcross are full of leaves / tree debris blown down in stormy weather which is causing water to pool in the hardstrips during heavy rain and encroach into lane 1 in some places presenting risks of aquaplaning.

The issue is particularly bad in the cutting just to the north of Handcross in the vicinity of Nashland Farm / Hoadlands Farm access road bridges as being a 'low point' debris and excess water tends to be washed into it from either side.
