White lane guide line crosses

Reported via mobile in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category anonymously at 15:19, Tue 12 November 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6723306.

White lane line markings (sort of guide crosses) are practically non existent so no visible appropriate lanes to guide traffic. There are four lanes, two in the direction of Hythe Road and two swinging straight round the roundabout in the direction of Wm Harvey hospital. We are regular users of this location and have nearly been side swiped on numerous occasions. Very dangerous.

  • Thank you for your report. We’re aware that the road markings at this location require attention, and we’ve in the process of looking at a future scheme to renew and update the layout of junction 10 in conjunction with Kent County Council (KCC). This scheme will be subject to costing and funding processes before any work takes place. Whilst we appreciate the time frames to deliver this scheme won’t be as soon as road users would've liked. Please be assured that we’ll look to deliver this scheme to improve the layout at this location as soon as it's possible. In the meantime, we'll continue to monitor the road at this location as part of our regular safety inspections, and we'll raise any additional remedial work if required.

    Kind Regards

    National Highways
