Mud sligning

Hi there,
Today I was travelling northbound through the 50mph narrowed lanes section of the M42/M6 Toll multiplex near Water Orton. I was travelling in the right-hand lane, alongside the central reservation barrier, behind which works are occurring between the south and northbound carriageways.
A large amount of mud was slung over the barrier and right onto my vehicle while travelling at 50mph, which caused me to become visually impaired for a few seconds. This could have resulted in a collision and was a serious safety issue to road users.
Fortunately, I was able to slow down and clean my windscreen. See attached a photo of the state of the rest of my vehicle.
Please can you speak to the roadworks team and ask them to explain the reason for the mud slinging, and let me know what steps they are taking to prevent this from happening again. If you aren’t able to provide rapid reassurance on this, I will have to take the issue up with the police as a serious injury or fatality could easily occur.
Kind regards,
Owen Midha
