No highway maintenance or chevrons on works vehicles

Reported via mobile in the Abandoned Materials (NH) category anonymously at 08:47, Thu 31 October 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6678742.

Hi, it seems to be an issue or lack of knowledge but most of the works vehicles I see on the M67 have very little markings on the back on for example I’ve noticed S Evan’s and Corecut and delivery vehicles they have no typical road markings just pulling into cones with there hazard lights. It seems that there is a difference on this site and the way the works vehicles leave the cones also needs looking at often undertaking the open lanes by speeding though site, I’m a professional driver and I’ve never seen a highways site like it, the workers don’t know how to pull in or out of the works never mind the lack of common highway maintenance markings. This could cause an accident as I often see cars nearly back end them as they just put hazard lights on and slam on before pulling in. It’s a disgrace and an accident waiting to happen.
