Service valve loose and large holes around it

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 14:57, Wed 30 October 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6676470.

Highways - please stop closing this report and saying you will notify Southern Water. The faulty service valves on the Westbound carriageway opposite Charmandean Lane are loose following Highways (not Southern Water) reseating them as part of the resurfacing works. It is Highways work that has failed so you should not now be blaming it on Southern Water. Please address ASAP as this is a safety issue now - gaps around one large enough to cause issues to cyclists and motorbikes. This has been 4 mounts now.
