Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 09:05, Thursday 24 October 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6652581.

The traffic lights exiting the M62 Westbound onto the Chain Bar Roundabout are stuck on red. Many road users waited 10-plus minutes before proceeding cautiously through the intersection.

This issue, in conjunction with the lane closure currently in place, are causing huge tailbacks on the M62.

These signals were attended by an engineer on Thursday at 09:00 and switched onto detector mode instead of the dynamic mode.

There have been challenges at this junction, potentially caused by the flooding a few weeks ago. We are awaiting attendance from a specialist to look at the outstanding faults.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people. Please accept our apologies for any delays you encounter on your journeys.

Thank you again for contacting us. If there is anything we can help you with, please email or telephone our Contact Centre. They’re available 24 hours a day by phone: 0300 123 5000 or by email info@nationalhighways.co.uk. Alternatively, please visit the National Highways website at nationalhighways.co.uk.
