The traffic lights at the junction of the A27 Sompting By Pass & Sompting Road

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6621797.

The traffic lights from Sompting Road are only allowing a very small number of vehicles through before going red. The traffic lights on the A27 Sompting By Pass are staying green for longer. This is causing MAJOR congestion all the way doiwn Sompting Road & into Worthing. The surrounding residential streets are also very, very busy as drivers seek an alternative route.

  • The crossing signals are not working properly at this junction. we crossed at green man signal but we were nearly run over by a driver accelerating after being stopped in the box.
