Updates

  • Thank you for contacting us regarding this issue.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience whilst essential resurfacing work is undertaken.

The work is being carried out by City of York Council at Grimston Bar roundabout. In order to complete this work they need to remove the traffic signal detection loops and replace them.

The lights are cycling, but due to the detection loops not functioning the junction isn't optimised or reacting as well to current traffic as it's using historical data stored in the controller.

City of York Council are due to replace the traffic signal loops by this week, weather dependent. Once their work is completed and the loops are replaced congestion should be alleviated at this location.

    Kind regards
