Over 100 bulbs not iluminating
Reported via mobile in the Not working (NH) category anonymously at 21:47, Tue 8 October 2024
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6568510.
On January the 2nd 2024 i reported that over 100 lights in this area are not working this has now been on going for over two years, you sent a response saying an engineer would be sent to investigate however due to safety there would not be an immediate repair. Here we are 9 months later not a single light repaired despite going through summer with increased day light hours promoting safer working conditions. This junction is possible the single most dangerous junction in Nottingham with vehicles joining at high speed in darkness, during winter months there are around two / three incidents each month that i personally see one of these is going to be serious in the near future. When are you going to make a repair????????????//

Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue. We are aware of this issue. The high mast can’t be maintained, and we are currently looking to get the complete structures replaced. Unfortunately, we can’t get them back in lighting (as the frame with the lighting attached can’t be lowered) The whole structure needs to be replaced, which a major scheme and is currently being planned.
If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
Kind regards National Highways
