Matrix overhead not working when lane 3 is closed

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6548408.

Southbound overhead matrix not working . lane is closed and signs on the ground being ignored by traffic. overhead matrix not warning of 50mph speed and lane closure. this is causing traffic in lane 3 to cut in too late and stopping traffic . some cars just not seeing ground signs at all . red crosses above lane 3 are needed.

  • Thank you for taking the time to report this issue.

    I can confirm that the signs in this area are turned off “scan disabled” due to there being long term roadworks in the area. The reason for this is due to the change in road layout as the signs/signals do not correspond correctly because of the long term lane closures.

    Once works are completed here the signs will be turned back on.
