Vegetation encroaching into lane

M5 J13 Southbound exit slip. Trees and bushes are overgrown and encroaching into lane 2. HGVs turning right have the choice of either hitting these or being pushed towards lane 1 and other road users.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways concerning overgrown vegetation.

    We carry out regular inspections of all our routes and cut the vegetation back where we find that it is limiting visibility of road signs or other traffic. Your concerns have been passed to our maintenance team. They’ll inspect the area shortly and, if necessary, arrange for vegetation to be cut.
