White road markings

Reported via desktop in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category anonymously at 20:10, Mon 30 September 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6535400.

Approaching Stonebridge island/A45 from the A452 (M6/A446) the road splits into three lanes. Lane 1 left turn only. Lane 2 ahead and right. Lane 3 ahead and right. The white arrow road markings showing the lane discipline are all but worn away, so traffic not familiar with the road layout will use lane 1 to go ahead instead of left only. There are too many near misses, especially now it’s getting darker earlier. Please can the lane arrows be refreshed.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

    Kind regards National Highways

  • Apparently inspected by Highways on 14:28, Thu 3 October 2024, Really!!! This stretch of road in both directions and A452 toward Balsall Common is poorly marked and dangerous!
