Uneven surface just south of "M11 B 88.0" sign

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category by Julia Page at 23:27, Tue 24 September 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6512247.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that a section of the southbound nearside lane of the M11 just after junction 13 and the "M11 B 88.0" sign was becoming a bit of a rollercoaster in my little car. The affected area is maybe 10-15 metres long and looks like it has sunk, although the tarmac is still smooth and unbroken.

On 21st September 2024 I was unthinkingly overtaking an articulated lorry on this section. Out of my peripheral vision it appeared that the trailer jumped or snaked, and the entire vehicle edged across the white lines into my lane. I do not believe this was the intention of the driver who corrected quickly.

I now regard this section as dangerous.
