Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the litter on the A120.

The responsibility for maintenance of the actual road surface and structures (bridges) at this location falls to National Highways, however the local authority (Uttlesford District Council) is responsible for litter collection on this roundabout.

However due to multiple reports regarding the condition of this roundabout National Highways have this morning instructed our contractors to cut back overgrown vegetation, sweep and clear litter at this location. Timescales for this work are as yet unknown but please be assured that plans are underway to address this issue.

    Kind regards,
    National Highways

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
