Subsidence and potholes

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 14:14, Tue 17 September 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6481778.

From road sign marker 115.5 to 120 there are three areas of subsidence in lane 1 westbound. From road sign 121 to junction 15 westbound there are several bad pothole's ( over 10) and a series of uneven sections of the carriageway that need urgent attention ( these have been like this for at least 2-3 months if not longer). Thank you for taking the time to read my message/ feedback.

Updates

  • Thank you for taking the time to report these concerns regarding the road conditions from marker 115.5 to Junction 15 westbound.

Our road inspector and the pavement team are fully aware of the issues in this area, including the subsidence, potholes, and uneven sections you mentioned.

There is already signage in place to warn the traveling public about the uneven road ahead. We also have a scheme programmed to resurface this section in the near future. In the meantime, our road inspector and our service provider are closely monitoring the area daily and addressing any safety-critical issues with make-safe repairs as needed.

Thank you again for your feedback, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further concerns.

    Kind regards National Highways
