Discarded large traffic cone in central reservation
Reported via mobile in the Abandoned Materials (NH) category anonymously at 17:11, Sun 15 September 2024
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6474142.
I have reported this issue several times but no action has ever been taken despite being told it would be addressed! Several weeks ago I reported a large traffic cone in lane 2 of A30 at this location causing traffic to swerve to avoid it. I travel this route daily in my truck and this cone is still in the central reservation. It will only take a backdraft from an artic to suck this cone back into the live carriageway. This needs to be removed to prevent a possible accident and I'd like to know why all of my previous reports of this issue has never been acted on? Location is westbound carriageway A30 immediately adjacent to 2nd overbridge passed the Whiddon Down junction.
