We have had a couple of calls to Network Rail regarding this fallen fence but it belongs to highways.

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category by Claire Chapman at 11:05, Friday 13 September 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6468023.

The fencing has fallen down next to Skew Bridge, meaning pedestrians could potentially get closer to the railway. Although we have a fence down the embankment, it could be climbed so we need your fence reinstated. It's on the approach to the bridge over the railway on Wilton Road.

  • Thank you for making your report. We've asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they'll arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we'll continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

    Kind regards
