Large Weed growth

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 16:26, Wed 11 September 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6462122.

There is a large weed on the central road island by the fencing blocking access for disabled chair users to press the crossing button. I witnessed a lady in a motorised chair have to get out of her chair to be able to press the button on the crossing and after pressing it she got back in her chair but then couldn’t see if traffic coming from the Worthing direction had actually stopped because of the weed. There is no audible signal at the crossing and she may have also been visually impaired enough not to be able to see the green cross light on the other side? I wasn’t close enough to go and help unfortunately. Please can you sort out the weeds to help those who have mobility difficulties. Thank you
