Road surface de-laminating and large pothole on roundabout itself

Reported via mobile in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 14:31, Wednesday 4 September 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6435871.

On the eastern of the two Hopgrove roundabouts, on the roundabout itself, there is an area of road surface de-lamination, that has caused a large pothole, just at the traffic lights for traffic arriving from the west, and going around the roundabout to join the A64 southbound. The position of the de-lamination makes it difficult to see and avoid in heavy traffic, and this road regularly has very high traffic volumes, giving a risk of damage to vehicles passing over the broken road surface. The constant heavy traffic volumes mean it is likely to deteriorate rapidly and needs more urgent repair.
