Accumulation of tyres

Tyres on the carriageway

Updates

  • There are now more than 250 tyres on the M11 embankment on land which is owned and maintained by the Highways Agency. The latest fly-tip occurred last night. It seems inevitable that one of the tyres will work itself loose, roll down the embankment and on to the M11, causing a major traffic accident on the M11 Northbound carriageway. I urge you to conduct a site visit to the Roding Lane bridge over the M11 to inspect the issue and arrange for the removal of the tyres before there is an accident. Thanks. Martin Flaherty, Local Resident. PS This incident has been reported three times over the last six weeks and you appear to have done nothing to resolve the situation.
