Fence old and damaged

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6393764.

On the northbound carriageway after the M18, just after the blue bridge there is a fence that keeps horses in, it has broken a few times which we have repaired ourselves to keep horses safe but whilst repairing we have noticed the entire length of the fence is moving and loose in the ground, I am concerned that with winter coming and the ground being wet that the fence could easily be pushed through by the horses.

Updates

  • Our inspection team have assessed the issue and have advised that a joint site visit with the land owner would be the best option for this so that the correct location is inspected. They have also requested that any life stock / horses are removed from the field prior to the site visit.
