Worn / non existent road markings on roundabout lanes

Reported via desktop in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category anonymously at 22:03, Tue 20 August 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6380459.

The lane markings are non existent on certain parts of the Fishbourne roundabout on the A27. I travel this route several times a day and on a daily basis cars are crossing in to the wrong lane as they cannot see the markings. A serious accident is going to occur as I have seen several near misses, sometimes drivers are oblivious. I can also see this has been reported several times to the national highways team ( you can see online) yet this hasn’t been fixed.

This report is now closed to updates from the public. You can make a new report in the same location.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report.

We're aware of the faded markings at Fishbourne Roundabout and have just finalising a refreshment scheme to address.

The works will be carried out overnight under closures and diversions from 2 September to 6 September, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

    Kind regards
