Overgrown hedge/bushes encroaching WELSPOOL ROAD on approach to CHURNCOTTE ROUNDABOUT

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 19:56, Tuesday 20 August 2024 ; (there is no pin shown as the user did not use the map)

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6380253.

Overgrown hedge/bushes encroaching roadway - on the Welshpool Road approaching Churncote roundabout (travelling away from Shrewsbury). This is narrowing the lanes leading to the roundabout. Drivers are already swerving on this road to avoid the numerous potholes which we are STILL waiting to be repaired. NATIONAL HIGHWAYS SAY THAT THIS IS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY.

  • Thank you for making your report. Our inspectors have been out to inspect this location today and found that approximately 130m of shrub/bushes require cutting back to stop them encroaching on to the carriageway. The work have been arranged to cut the bushes.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

    Kind regards National Highways
