Hazard to pedestrians crossing Warren road BN14 9QU

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category by David Langley at 13:18, Fri 16 August 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6364511.

A site is currently being developed and this has necessitated the closure of the pavement on the north side of the road. As a result signage directs pedestrians to cross to the south side pavement via a pedestrian refuge. The refuge is served by a dropped kerb but this is only accessible by a strip of rough ground at the roadside. Not a problem if you’re fit and able and don’t have a push chair but otherwise probably inadequate. I can provide a photograph to illustrate the problem if required.
