Please fix the lighting on the 31a sliproads

Reported via desktop in the Not working (NH) category anonymously at 23:03, Thu 15 August 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6362577.

Hello, Non of the lighting on the M6 around 31a works. This is a very busy area, can the street lighting on the slip roads at least be re-activated or fixed. It's long and bendy so the small amount of lighting that's already there wouldn't do any harm and would only improve safety. Also there's a sign that says 'Lighting is off between midnight and 5am.' Is this not be enough of a cutback to running costs? Thanks

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report.

The lighting between M6 J30 to 32 is being removed due to infrastructure failures. We are assessing the lighting on the slip roads and this will be brought up to standard. When the lighting is operational the signage will be removed.

    Kind regards National Highways
