Overgrown Brambles and Nettles obscuring cycle way.

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 09:30, Wednesday 14 August 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6353875.

There is a section of this cycle way which thins to virtually nothing and doesn't look to be maintained by anyone. This is between the East/West carriage way and then the roundabout underpass. The area is blocked with nettles and brambles and is virtually impassable. What3Words Location ///curl.lots.third to ///tables.trying.riders Noticed on 07/08/24

  • Hi Sometime ago I noted the report made on the 14 August 2024, of intrusive Bramble and other vegetation on the footpaths traversing the Stivichall Interchange, Coventry. I was going to report the same, however reading your response I considered action would be taken to resolve the issue? On Tuesday 29 October 2024, I happened to be walking the said footpaths and noticed that No Action has been taken. Brambles, nettles and other vegetation have encroached onto the all footpaths severely restricting the width of the path/cycle ways. It must be noted that brambles are also encroaching the path/cycle ways on the A45/46 between the Stivichall interchange and the Toll Bar End roundabout? There is nothing so joyous as negotiating flailing brambles and rampant nettles on an afternoon walk. Robert Locke
