Possible collision issue...no traffic lights on Fleetwood road entering the roundabout.

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 15:48, Monday 12 August 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6346642.

Fleetwood road from Carleton has no speed restrictions & feeds into the roundabout without traffic light control. Cars travel down Amounderness way at high speed & probably do not expect the volume of cars entering from Fleetwood road.

Updates

  • Fleetwood road from Carleton has a speed restriction of 30mph as do all other roads converging on Norcross roundabout.

  • Yes it does but that is not adhered to. And there are no lights to slow/stop them before the roundabout. I see this daily...if It's a clear road they reach, 60-70 mph.

  • Speed concerns should be raised with Lancs Police.

  • Yes i agree but I'm trying to highlight a major issue with this very dangerous roundabout. Very sorry to have mentioned it.
