Motorway verges require vegetation clearance

The current contract for the Smart motorway J21 to J26 appears to be nearing completion, with road marking being progressed. I have noticed that the verges have not been maintained as part of the Alliance Physical Works. As a road safety auditor, chartered engineer, & motorway contractor; I urge you to complete verge maintenence before removing the Traffic Management. This works needs to be carried out NOW to prevent future hazards for road users, TM Crews and landscape contractors. I shall be monitoring this situation very closely, in the event of this request being ignored, I shall be writing an open letter to my MP to request the HA justification for not using the current opertunity to carry out safe and economic maintenance.
