Lanes stepped in height

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6305789.

There is a difference if we'll over 1 inch, reaching in excess if 2 inches between lanes 1 and 2, which caused my vehicle to buffer back into lane 1 earlier today. This has potential to cause significant damage to wheels.

  • Thank you for your email of 1 August 2024 about the road surface on the A180 being uneven. We understand your concerns and appreciate you taking the time to contact us about the issue.

    We've checked and can confirm there is a scheme to replace settled bays on the A180 which are causing the step between lanes. The scheme is currently due to start in October 2024. Our inspectors are reviewing the carriageway for safety regularly, from which we will mitigate any concerns raised.
