Damage to road surface

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6305406.

Damaged road surface 20 m long, 2m wide and 6 inches deep. Dangerous to drive on - Police have currently closed the road.

    We’ve passed your concerns to our maintenance team for further investigation.

    We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. We know that a damaged road surface can, on occasion, be potentially dangerous and we’ve processes in place to ensure any hazardous defects are repaired quickly.
