Direction sign Oldham, Royton, Manchester cannot be read

Reported via desktop in the Sign Obscured (NH) category anonymously at 16:12, Wed 31 July 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6299477.

Numerous complaints about this sign being obscured by trees. I can see you have done some trimming of branches a 100 metres away from the sign and have installed new marker signs 1 , 11, 111 that are now more visible to the slip road exit. I still cannot read the very large sign that was newly installed to advertise the clean air zone and directions. Trees at the sign need to be removed or pruned considerably. Not everyone has a sat nav.
