Uneven surface

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 09:50, Tue 30 July 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6292434.

The issue is the dangerous nature of the expansion gaps built into the road surface heading past Fort Dunlop Northward for some miles. Most of the gaps have sunken very deep and are dangerous to drive across even at reduced speed.

The Jolt they cause can not only damage tyres and wheels and suspension but in my personal situation , cause the vehicle to suddenly switch off in a live lane which could of caused a serious accident. With no power I had to coast with no power to even warn other drivers with using hazards and try and make it to safety. Fortunately the next Jolt powered up everything and I managed to exit the motorway safely.
