Weeds and shrubs over grown.

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 15:09, Mon 29 July 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6289582.

I have reported this issue on the Lovecleanstreets spp and Great Yarmouth borough council said its Norfolk county council issue and NCC now passing the buck to you. The Cycle/Foot Path between GORLESTON and HOPTON has fully over grown with weeds to the point where cyclists and pedestrians cannot pass each other by without someone coming to a stop. It is so dangerous right now where someone could easily lose their balance and end up falling into the un-barriered dual carriage way. Please can a team of people cut back these weeds promptly before someone gets injured.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the overgrown vegetation on footpath / cycleway adjacent to the A47 at Goreleston. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

    Kind regards National Highways
