Pedestrian crossing not working

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 14:29, Fri 26 July 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6280040.

The pedestrian crossing from North to South across the busy A5 junction with the Longshoot is not working. If you press the button for the crossing it lights up to show you have pressed it but it does not give a green to go signal and therefore allows vehicles to turn left and no opportunity to cross. This us a busy crossing on a busy road and people and cyclists are having to run across the road in between traffic.
