M32 verges flailed before litter was picked

Reported via mobile in the Main Carriageway (NH) category anonymously at 19:10, Fri 19 July 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6251409.

The M32 is now entirely strewn with shredded litter and debris after is has been cut before any litter or debris clearing at all? What kind of incompetence is planning your works schedule? Why would you damage your own equipment deliberately like this and shred the litter down to an uncollectable size on purpose, making ever clearing it now 100x more difficult.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways concerning litter.

The verges on the M32 are litter picked once a month, as it’s a known litter hotspot. Our litter picking in July was undertaken prior to the grass cutting however, we recognise litter can build back up quickly. We’ll identify and target the worst affected areas in our August programme of litter picking and maintenance.

If you require any further information please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 5000 or info@nationalhighways.co.uk. Kind regards National Highways
